Compare real estate agents in NZ

Put up to three real candidates into the same evidence checklist. PropertySeller shows the framework before asking for contact details — and sends nothing to agents.

Decision principle

A high appraisal or low fee is not a result. Ask for relevant evidence, a complete cost schedule and a campaign plan you understand.

Step 1 of 2

Describe the decision

Set the same property context for every candidate, then compare their evidence, complete costs and campaign responsibilities side by side.

No email or phone requested. Nothing is submitted to an agent.

1. Verify

Check each licence on the REA public register and trace performance or award claims to an appropriate source.

2. Standardise

Request commission, GST, administration, marketing and optional costs in the same written format.

3. Interrogate

Ask why the proposed method and campaign fit this property, buyer pool, evidence and timeframe.

What to compare between real estate agents

Compare the individual people who will do the work, not only their company logos. Give each candidate the same property facts and ask for the same written fields so the differences are meaningful.

  • Current licence, office and named responsibilities
  • Written appraisal range and genuinely comparable sales
  • Commission, GST, administration, minimums and marketing costs
  • Method of sale, buyer strategy and campaign review points
  • Agency agreement type, duration, cancellation and commission trigger
  • Offer process, negotiation examples and reporting rhythm

Prepare before the interviews

Use the same questions, fee categories and appraisal evidence standard for every candidate. PropertySeller does not rank the names you enter and does not send the worksheet to an agency.
